You can change the fonts (typefaces) in Beats of Rage quite easily. Just open the file data\sprites\font.gif (and font2.gif, etc) and change the individual characters therein. Take care not to make the characters larger than their available space, though. You can also change the size of the characters by resizing the image. Make sure both the width and height of the image are multiples of 16, though. For example, if your font image is 160x160 pixels, the program will expect a character on every 10x10 block. For a 160x240 image, that's every 10x15 block. Also note that the characters should be aligned to the left side of each block. |
