I noticed that BOR supports a bunch of platforms including the Wii which I pasted below.  I'm curious why there's a Wii port but not a gamecube one.  Was it too difficult to port to that platform?

Originally programmed for DOS, Beats of Rage and its offspring were later ported to many systems, including but not limited to:
Sega Dreamcast
PlayStation 2
Linux
Microsoft Windows
Xbox
PlayStation Portable (PSP)
Nintendo Wii
GP32
GP2X
GP2X Wiz
AmigaOS (OS4)
MorphOS
Pocket PC
Dingoo A320
Various phones

I should think not. GameCube and Wii have nearly identical hardware, the Wii just has more of it. And the GameCube has well enough power to run Beats of Rage. The explanation is that it simply hasn't been picked up by anyone in the GameCube scene.

If someone with knowledge of C were interested, it would probably take all of 5 minutes to convert the Wii OpenBOR port to the GameCube.  It would only involve removing the references to the Wiimote code - the GameCube and Wii homebrew APIs are otherwise completely identical.  No one has actually taken the time to do so yet, though.
