Upcoming commercial Dreamcast games (2010/2011)

A list of upcoming commercial Dreamcast games I compiled for DCEmulation.org:

While most release dates aren't exactly accurate, we know that each of these games is still actively being worked on.*

*Well, things don't look too good for Donk and Little Ninja atm.

That's quite a list. May I ask which ones you're most looking forward to?

Little Ninja

Oh, or do you want us all to say "Age of the Beast"?

Oh, or do you want us all to say "Age of the Beast"?

No, it was a sincere question.

Definitely Age of the Beast.

I mean I will buy them all, and right now I am looking forward to Fast Striker which will be released in a couple of weeks, but overall Age of the Beast is the game I'm looking forward to the most.

I am not expecting you guys to re-invent the wheel, just to come up with a polished 2D brawler for 4 players.

Little Ninja would have been something, but I am completely turned off by their shift towards 3D graphics as can be seen in their recent blog entries. I am not sure if they're actually related to Little Ninja though, and I haven't gotten any replies to my emails on the status of the game.

I think Dynamite Dreams would be great to have in your collection. I can imagine it to appeal to many people so it should be a lot of fun when having guests over.

What exactly is this DUX "v2" that is on the list? A new version or new game altogether?

I suppose if AotB gets a release in 2011, that would be a really interesting point on Dreamcast for me. That or Drill being finally released...

Dux v2 is the first Dux game but with some bug fixes.

I'm afraid Age of the Beast will not be released in 2011

So the only definite release is Fast Striker, as Dux V2 isn't more than a plan.

As for the other games, they are all far from completion.

And RSG's super secret 2011 project, Sturmwind, is announced!

In a german TV-show, no less

Surprise, surprise: It's a shooter.

Well, it sure looks good with its mix of 2D/3D elements. But I guess that's the least to expect of a game that has been in development for six years.

Hmmm, they were supposed to give Rush Rush Rally Racing more attention than just using it as wallpaper. Too bad for us.

I agree Sturmwind looks good, though. I'm looking forward to the first screenshots.

I think he did what he could, it was pretty brief and R4 looks amazing in the background.

He shared rsg's weblink people curios about that super cool racing game will go and buy it.

They didn't even show the new game in the background... Oh well.
How about you make a main page news about it anyway?

A guy from Sega let some people at destructoid play a demo of Sturmwind. They start playing Sturmwind at about 1:44:00 of part 1 and continue on through the first section of part 2.

Pretty cool that Sega is showing an indie game Too bad the other people in the show all sound like idiots.
Anyway, the game sure looks like a must buy to me!
