Crime Buster

Title    : Crime Buster
Heroes    : Maxima, Ralf, Athena, Kula and Bao
Engine    : OpenBoR
Progress  : 90%

Story    : Crime Buster is Special Police Force. Their first task is to investigate illegal drugs that has plagued the city then they must stop its trade by defeating and arresting the boss dealer.

Features  :
1. All heroes can run and therefore they can perform running attack and running jump attack.
2. All heroes can dodge (ala SoR3) and can perform forward+special (ala SoR2)
3. All heroes have 3 freespecials (except for Maxima who only has 2)
4. Some enemies are new while the rest are from BoR but most of the latter have been edited and have at least 1 new attack.
5. Backgrounds are from BoR + new ones. Some of the former have been edited and have new panels.
6. 8 Stages + 3 Bonus levels

Athena is doing her Psycho Sword attack, Bao is shooting Psycho Ball, Ralf is beating enemy with Vulcan Punch, Maxima crushes enemy with his running jump attack and Kula's Diamond Breath freezes enemies now.

Future Updates: Frankly, current OpenBoR doesn't have some features that I need in my mod but I'll release this mod without them. If those features were available in the future, I'll release updated version of Crime Buster which implements them.

I have played my mod and it took about 2,5 hours to finish it. What do you all think about it?

Also if you wonder what are the last 10% of the progress, they are music and voices. SlyBeast told me that my mod should use Techno music just like BoR's but I don't know where to get any for my mod . Anybody can help?

Well currently I'm using SoR2 music to be used in levels that need new music. It doesn't sound bad IMO. Maybe I ought to release a demo.

This are the files in the rar:

CBDEMO.PAK
langpack.txt
Openbor.exe

But you need to get the Openbor that is in this site www.Openbor.net.
Because the one include in the rar is missing some files.

Yeah, I got OpenBOR to work, but even after DLoading CBDEMO with those files, it shows up in the OpenBOR menu, it loads, then it auto-closes saying that it was timeed out, then input error.

I forgot to include required files there cause I assumed anyone who Dl-ed the demo knows how to run OpenBoR (which means they have the files). I include langpack.txt because it contains different menu texts for my mod while OpenBoR.exe is ver2.0045 which is good enough to play the demo. So please use the langpack.txt from the .rar instead of the default one.

As for your problem Diego, I really don't know as I never experienced it.

You renamed the CBDEMO.pak to BOR.pak?

Oh dear, I've just remembered an OpenBoR bug. If the .pak name is 4 or 6 letters long, OpenBoR will look for font1 which doesn't exist and kicks you out. The solution is simple, just rename the .pak into anything shorter than 9 letters and not 4 or 6 letters.
