Seems Hostmonster.com has oversold their hosting and our website has grown quite a bit that they can't handle all the SQL dips for users, threads and posts.  So they shut us down for now.  I have been working on moving the site to a new dedicated server and should be up and running in a weeks time.  Sorry for the lack of quality their services offered us.  The good news is that is going to be faster and easier to maintain, since the server is going to be local.

Are all the downloads gonna be there?

Are the old topics still gonna be up?

Nothing will change on your end except perhaps a few of today's posts might be lost. Only the physical server is moving. SX has full backups of the site, and I have some older ones just in case.

Perfect, theres nothing for us to worry about then. I'll just get my info from the wiki till then.

Sounds good; the random site outages were starting to get pretty old.

Yeah- I didn't want to complain about it, but it got pretty irritating just trying to get the page to load normally on too many occasions.

Whew, I was going to ask permission concerning a few things on the site and got worried when LavaLit didn't load.

Well the good news is that i have the site up and running on my server...  So the next step is to transfer the domain name to a new registar and the site should be up in a couple of days.

Ah, so that's why I can't access Lavalit today. Alright, glad to hear the good news SX, I'll wait for the new site.

Website is back up.....  But I seem to have an issue with the chat system (doesn't work currently) but the forum is fully functional!  The site should be accessible from anywhere now, and should be faster as well, since I'm running new caching systems that were not available previously.

Yeah, it took most of the week to figure out how apache works with port forwarding and importing mysql databases.  There are some issues though, which I haven't figured out yet.  The Chat system is busted and using certain keywords aren't working either... example img.

Can't figure out why the forum won't display them... i guess these are the quirks from porting these files from one system to another from scratch.....

Hello, Just started looking at this community and I was unable to register at Lavalit. I was able to fill out the form but once I submit it said unable to send an email to that address. Then I tried the same email again and it said it was already created.

But besides that seems like you guys have a lot of cool stuff going on and I can't wait to dive in.

At the moment our sendmail functionality is not implemented in the new server.  I should have it up and going sometime later this week.

No worries. If there is any chance you can manually activate me that would be great. If not no problem, I can wait until send mail is working and try then.

That's odd. I was under the impression that people have been using Lavalit successfully again for months now.
