dreamcast-puzzle.png As some people rightfully pointed out already, it's been a while since the last news post. Which begs the question, what's going on? Well, if you remember that last post you'll know that we had performed our tests on a PC instead of a Dreamcast. That's because we were having some problems on the Dreamcast end of things. Problems that took time to solve, like for example replacing the entire sound engine.

But I can now happily announce that the Dreamcast port is purring like a kitten. A kitten that still needs some tweaks and optimisations, but at least it's got all its vital organs.

Ah, my beloved Dreamcast. I haven't had fun in gaming ever since you died.

Although, if the machine itself didn't keep breaking, I'd play even more.

CDR's really do burn your laser out and BOR is very bad on your laser unfortunity.

You need to pad the file so it pushes the data to the outside of the ring of the cd. Its the easier part to read.

Also burn your disk at the slowest speed. It gives the best reading.

Roal you better tell neill he owns ash a new dc.

Great news!

I love the Jewel cases for video games, especially Dreamcast games!.

I have never liked DVD cases for games---- too big and bulky,

Any news in regards to Rally Racing?

I usually prefer DVD cases, because they're more durable. But for a DC game, it would suck because it doesn't fit in (except your DC game collection consists of obscure japanese posthumous games)

My sentiments exactly.

Ok Roel,

What is the status? You planning to release R4 soon? within the next 3-4 months?

As you probably know DUX is done, so hopefully  we can be playing R4 on the DC soon!

99%. Annoyingly, it has been stuck at 99% for a while. That sort of thing happens sometimes, and there's not much I can do about it. A mysterious thing with which I have little personal experience, often referred to as "life" or "the real world", comes to steal time away from our project.

Absolutely!

Indeed. And I'm looking forward to playing Dux. I have great expectations.
