Thanks, I made it myself.
Your request involves more problems than you might think. If you add perspective to the floor, this will affect the coherence of the graphics as well as gameplay mechanics. Characters and other objects would have to be aligned to the floor in a different way than they are now. Also, they would have to be scaled - otherwise, the ones in the back would look like giants, and/or the ones in the front like midgets. The bounding boxes and other positional data would have to be scaled. The edge of the screen would no longer correspond with the same X coordinate for every Z coordinate. All in all, a lot of work which will result in uglier sprites (because of the scaling) and no practical advantages.
But hey, maybe the openBOR people are more enthusiastic about this idea. You never know. |

| | thats true it would probably mess with alot. i was thinking more along the lines of the floor being broken up into lines. the farthest back lines of the floor moving the slowest and the front lines moving faster giving the effect of perspective. i think its paralax scrolling. it would probably just slow everything down. |

| | Also i would think that if the floor was split up to make it scroll all at different speeds (yes it is paralax scrolling), then when the characters walk on the background of the floor, then they will appear to be moving to fast in comparison with the floor. as the come to the front, they would be moving too slow alongside the floors speed. |
