Yeah unfortunatly its down for good, due to unforseen legal circumstances the site had to be pulled, there was to many copyright infringements going on there, especially music used in mods, it makes me sad when things come to this.

Really? Can SX or Damon confirm this? I am assuming the forums can still be active though. Wouldn't that just have to remove the downloads?

It does seem odd that the site is gone in its entirety rather than replaced by a message explaining what happened. Also, there is no mention of it on the OpenBOR Wiki.

I too hope a Lavalit admin will clear this up soon.

The server should be back up later on tonight if nothing terrible happened.  I'm not able to connect to it at this moment to see what the problem is...

It's not surprising someone would post something like this; welcome to the internetz... But I have to say it's a bit shocking and kind of sad anyone else actually bought it. I'm not going to explain the various nuances of copy write law here, but suffice to say Lavalit has no legal issues and isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

As SX mentioned, the server is down and nothing more. We spoke earlier, and he'll be having a look as soon as he gets in this evening.

I do hope you're not talking about me there, Damon.

Actually I was referring to the sudden inflow of worried emails in my box referencing that post. It's what drew my attention to this thread in the first place.

In any case, I added an announcement to the OpenBOR Wiki main page to clear things up. I should have thought of that sooner, but I'm a little slow today.

And now LavaLit is down once again.  At least there's a mention of it on the OpenBOR Wiki this time.

And if history teaches us anything, it will be down many times more.

Indeed it will.  The downtime has gotten worse as of late - I wonder if anything can be done about it.

EDIT: Hm, now I'm apparently a Zombie.  My avatar still shows a non-undead lagomorph, though.

I've tried to get LavaLit as of today, but not shown.  I wonder what's happenin'.
