|  | I have a question about the combat system for AOTB. I remember in several beat em ups for the PGM system there was different animations for characters when they hit other characters from the front or back. Would that be possible in the new engine? |

Haven't really thought about that. Maybe I should try those PGM games some time to see what such a feature might add gameplay-wise. Got any recommendations? |

Aside of visual difference, I don't know how different sprite for being hit in the back could give gameplay difference. Unless, character requires more or less time to recover than if he were hit from front.
Or the auto counter that Predators have in AvsP game. |

I haven't been able to spot the requested feature in YouTube videos of Knights of Valor.
I'll have a look at Oriental Legend, but like Bloodbane I doubt it would add much to the gameplay (besides unnecessary complications). |
