"Proudly forgetting over a decade of video games history"
|
|
|
| | Finally dusted off the DC in anticipation of RRRR, but can't find my box of games.
Can anyone recommend any good DC games, preferably not 1 vs 1 fighters as I already have an X-Arcade and MAME for those.
All I have is Sonic Adventure and the controls already driven me insane. |

Personally I always found Jet Set Radio one of the best games.
I would also recommend Headhunder, Border Down, Ikaruga, and Rez |

| | What he said. Plus Mister Driller and Puyo Puyo Fever. |

Haha, I only omitted those because they are also available on other systems |

| | Aren't Ikaruga and Rez also available on other systems? |

And Headhunter.
Actually, the vast majority of good Dreamcast then-exclusives got exploited later. Would have been a shame to let the IPs rot commercially, after all. |

| | Is that a joke post? This is the first time I've seen someone recommend Prince of Persia 3D ever. |

| | My Dreamcast playing skills are weak it seems. I can't kill the first boss on Rez!
That's a lot of games to get! Time to hit eBay.
Any news on when the deluxe version of R4 is due? |

| | It was due a while ago, but unfortunately the news is not that great (see this thread). |

| | I finally decided to try out Frogger 2. and I must say I was surprised; although this does not push the dreamcast, it seems to offer (me) oldschool arcade action (and it has been a few years since I have been swearing at my screen )
I also recomment Expendable, for those who love fast action , blood & carnage. Urban Chaos shows what gta3 could have been on the dc (yes, this is in fact a very good game, despite of what you may have heard) |

Virtua Tennis. Although I hear there's some independent overhead racing game that just came out that's supposed to be pretty good. |

| | Cosmic Smash, Shenmue I & II (second one available for xbox, but who cares), Segagaga (if translation gets done or you know japanese), Power Stone, Berserk |

I'm surprised no-one's said Chu Chu Rocket. That's great with 4 players.
Virtua Striker 2 is fun for the sole reason that the announcer goes mad every time a goal is scored.
Zombie Revenge is always good for some 2 player action.
Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram and Samba de Amigo both require the peripherals to be the most fun, but if you can get them, they're really enjoyable.
Samba de Amigo > Guitar Hero. |

I thought most reviews didn't grant Spawn more than a 5 or a 6... |

| | Well if you live your life going by what reviews say, then your missing out on a lot of good stuff.I've played this game multiple times and still continue to play it even now,not as much thnx to the wii lol.My oint is Spawn is a god game, over 20 characters, over 50 different weapons, uhh i forgot how much stages. Its a ongoing game,in other words this is almost a never ending game. Not to menton the characters look amazing. As a matter of fact they wanted to re-make this game for ps2. |

| | I must agree that reviews aren't as trustworthy as they should be. Then again, neither is the advice of random people on the internet, so in the end we're all stuck having to find things out for ourselves. |
