| | Hello everyone! I'm a Sega fan too, and I would like to talk with some people that likes old Sega games too. Any system its OK! From Master system, Mega Drive (Genesis) Saturn, Dreamcast...Even the SYSTEM 16B! My favourites games from there are Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Dynamite Dux, E-Swat, Shinobi, Tetris, Passing Shot and Wonder Boy III : Monster Lair. From another systems, the list is VERY LONG and hard to remember, but I can tell known titles like Sonic the Hedgehog, Guardian Heroes, Taz-Mania, Alex Kidd, and many more. My first Sega console was the Master System 2 (one of the best birthday presents ever!) and my current console its the Dreamcast. It had the common and random self-rebooting, and my Dreamcast has been collecting dust until I've heard about games like Dux, Rush Rush Rally Racing and the upcoming Age of the Beast, and I started cleaning the dust. But the problem still persists. What I should I do? I don't want to miss any of those titles! I miss the fun I had with that console. Thank you in advance, and hope to see more Sega fans talking about their favourite games here! |

The rebooting could be related to the drive door. I had a similar problem and was able to solve it by keeping the drive door down, but not fully closed, with a piece of tape or by placing a small object on top of it (e.g. a remote control or a computer mouse). Well actually it's not really a solution, but more of a workaround. |

| | Hi. The rebooting issue isnt to do with the drive door. Clean the five pins on the power supply unit. They can be located if you open the dreamcast up and remove the PSU at the back left. This will fix your problem |

| | Thanks guys! I'll try both solutions later. |

| | It could also be a controller port issue as well. That's been a problem for a few of my Dreamcasts. |

| | I think Anonymouse is right, clean the 5 pins and it should fix the problem, i used wd40 on a cleaning cloth and it fixed it for me. |
