| | That doesn't look very 2D retro, does it ? |

| | Roel Why?Dont you like to see graphics like this.
2D and old school gameplay is fun nobody can say the oposite but Dreamcast fans wants to see a game that uses more power of the Dreamcast(iam i right?) |

I can understand where you're coming from, but graphics like these are precisely what we're trying to avoid. You are not likely to ever see a game by Senile Team with such graphics.
Firstly, we take our goal to provide "retro" content very seriously. High-res 2D might be an option, but 3D definitely is not.
Secondly, if we styled our games as you suggest, we'd run a serious risk of becoming just another anonymous thirteen-in-a-dozen developer. There are countless games with generically-textured, low-poly 3D out there already, and as far as I'm concerned they all look alike.
Speaking of the "power of the Dreamcast", it seems to me that many people overestimate the Dreamcast. Sure, Rush Rush Rally Racing doesn't push the system to its very limit, but it wouldn't likely have run on any earlier console either. But perhaps Dreamcast fans will be content when Age of the Beast is ready to make their favourite console sweat hard. |

If such a simple question gets an answer like this i can easily get my results.Iam really sorry for posting a thread like this casue it looks like that you just made feel like an inducer. If i dont agree with senile team retropolicy and graphics its not the best way to convince anyone be saying "i dont undrestand where you come from"...... and keeping an attitude like this seems that different ideas and thoughts arent ALOWD HERE.
And now as for the power of Dreamcast. Its really fool to say tha Rush rush rally racing doesnt push the system to its very limit. Its obvious and we dont overstimate Dreamcast power.Dreamcast can hold much better 2D graphics than RRRR.Cause as for 2D graphics i can remind you some games that doesnt PUSH dreamcast to its limit.Marver vs capcom, street fighter etc.
Finally iam not here to change you.I just like video games from every single Genesis games to high end pc games.Thats why i picked your game from Redspotgames.
Now you can delete the whole topic it just doesnt make sence. |

Please, dreamcasting2008, calm yourself. I said I do understand where you're coming from. I'm not sure if I understand even half of your latest post, though. Why are you making such a fuss? Take a moment to breathe, relax, and you'll find that there's no need to get so worked up and we can all be friends again.

| | I think in regards to the overall power of Dreamcast only Sega would really know how far it could be pushed in the sense of 3D number crunching, but that's not what Senile Team and likeminded independent developers are all about, you guys are about fun retro experiences, and that is fine with anyone who has experienced your work, I personally enjoyed Beats of Rage as I loved SOR on the Megadrive, I was also very fond of the technical merits of RRRR for DC and how well the game was received. I would love the thought of you guys getting round to making RRRR 2 for Dreamcast one day as I think I speak for most true Dreamcast players that we like buying new games for the system, in short....
Please keep releasing your wares on Dreamcast |
