HypnoTiles

About HypnoTiles

HypnoTiles is a puzzle game of the falling blocks variety, comparable to Tetris, Puyo Puyo, Columns and Lumines. In HypnoTiles, you place blocks of the same colour adjacent to each other to form a connection between the left and right sides of the playing field. This mechanism also allows you to create chain reactions, which is the primary way of increasing your score.

HypnoTiles features 3 game modes.

In "Endless Mode", the game starts at a leisurely pace, but speeds up a little with every next level. The aim is to reach the highest possible score before you inevitably can't keep up and die. The highscore table is connected to a server, so you can compete with all other players for the highest score.

In "Mission Mode", you try to complete a specific objective, such as building a 3x chain reaction, or clearing the field. This mode helps you get to grips with the specifics of the game, and allows you to score some achievements while you're at it.

In "Versus Mode", two players battle each other. Score points to send "bad" blocks to your opponent, thwarting their efforts to do the same. You also have the option to use various items in this mode, such as a laser or a bomb that removes some blocks.

Falling block puzzle games are known to stimulate deep concentration. This is also true for HypnoTiles, which combines it with psychedelic graphics and a hypnotic soundtrack for an even more intense experience.

About Senile Team

Senile Team is an independent game developer, who achieved instant fame in 2003 with the surprise hit Beats of Rage. This moddable, open source engine was ported to dozens of platforms and sparked the revival of the beat 'em up genre with over 100 community-developed mods.

"Beats of Rage" was followed the 2D racing game Rush Rush Rally Racing and the adventure platformer Intrepid Izzy. The latter was voted "best indie Dreamcast game".

With their continuing love of the 16-bit era, Senile Team’s goal is to create new and original games inspired by the classics.
