Attention: DOS games will not run very smoothly on today's hardware and operating systems. At some points, the game may even stop functioning completely. Unless you have a fully functioning DOS setup, it is recommended that you obtain the Windows-compatible openBOR or one of the console versions.

If you have a homebrew-enabled Wii, you can simply download OpenBOR via the Homebrew Browser. However, this is only the engine. To play Beats of Rage, you will also need the data files which can be obtained by downloading the PC version (or you can download a mod from Lavalit).

OpenBOR is the Open Source continuation of Beats of Rage. Maintained by fans, it features many extras and supports platforms not previously supported by the original game.
