It seems we too have fallen victim to the curse of independent Dreamcast developers. Despite our best efforts, circumstances dictate that Rush Rush Rally Racing Deluxe Edition will not be available this month.

Here's the official statement from redspotgames:

redspotgames wrote:
The production of the Deluxe Edition of Rush Rush Rally Racing has been delayed, but will be completed in 4 days. We have been informed by the CD factory that a component supplier sent the wrong jewel cases and the production cannot be finished without them. Unfortunately this also means that the game cannot be delivered on time.

The CD factory guaranteed the delivery by Friday, December 4th, 2009. As always, we are going to send out the Deluxe Edition the same day we receive the game to all our customers who preordered it. Yet we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused.

We too would like to extend our apologies to all affected customers. Nobody likes to wait, and we know this very well.

4 days is still pretty quick. I can wait

It could be worse, I could have ordered a Pandora http://openpandora.org/. Preorder's started over a year ago for those and it's still delayed!

I noticed that too. They used to claim to have "the world's most powerful handheld", now it's "the most powerful gaming handheld". By the time it finally gets shipped it'll probably be "a retro handheld". I hope I'm wrong, though, as I think the project is truly admirable.

Pier Solar got also delayed until "when it's done", quite a while after preorder started. It'll probably be released not too early next year. So this is nothing.

That would be impossible, because they always ship 'em as soon as they get 'em. You should hope for the postal services to work faster than normal. Unfortunately that's not very likely in December.

You'll be glad to know I've just pre-ordered both games. I used to be a huge Dreamcast fan but my interest has decreased in recent years... But now having seen that RRRR is ready makes me want to get back into it

Now all we need is AOTB

I guess what I was meaning to say was that I'm hoping redspotgames  plans to use a faster shipping method for those that have been waiting. I know they are doing as much as they can to get the game out the door!

Can't wait for the Goods!

As long as it comes, I'll be happy.

I've gotten used to waiting for things. It comes from having a girlfriend who lives 6,000 miles away.

Wow, my girlfriend lives in London and I moan about having to spend £70 and 3 hours to get to her!

On a brighter note....................

I saw the regular editions posted on ebay and redspots comments states the DELUXE will not ship untill two weeks!!!   Sure hope this is not true.

Roel, any news that you know of?

I sure hope DELUXE RRRR has shipped! Mann, its been a long time!

I'm really sorry guys, but I thought you knew. An e-mail was supposedly sent by redspotgames to every customer about this subject. Anyway, here's what happened.

You remember how the Deluxe Edition could not be shipped in November because the factory didn't have the correct parts? Well, in December they sent the whole batch of CDs to redspotgames. To speed things up, redspotgames had already prepared everything up to the point where all they needed to do was put the games straight in their cardboard boxes and send them off. The CDs were delivered to redspotgames, who then changed the status of the orders and were just about to make every customer happy... when at the very last moment, they discovered that the games were not properly manufactured and had to send them all back to the factory! So now we're waiting for proper ones to arrive from the factory, again.

Although neither redspotgames nor Senile Team was at fault here, we have been looking into the possibilities of arranging something extra for all affected customers (that means everyone who pre-ordered before the incident) to make up for the long wait. But I can't tell you what it is yet, because it's a surprise.

In that case you've placed your order several days after the aforementioned problem occurred, so it's normal that you didn't receive an e-mail about it.

The last email I got from redspotgames was

"The status of your order id: xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxx has been changed to Completed"

on December 7th. Nothing about the new delay.

I hope that doesn't mean my order's been forgotten about now?

I hear ya there derb!

Redspot  needs to announce what is going on here! Before many people get very upset with them! Nothing is posted on thier SITE!

Roel, any way you can make a NEWS Announcement updating the status and shipment date of RRRR DELUXE!

Don't get me wrong about having extra goodies for the long wait...... but now I would rather have RRRR DX overnighted in shipment than any extra for the wait!

Hopefully redspotgames realize that they need to start all over for all those DX orders...... and not miss any of the orders that have been emailed as a complete order.

Don't worry guys, your orders are not forgotten. They know very well what's going on. The missing e-mails were probably just misidentified as spam.
